Okay, Alli finally had a week where she had enough funny things to say that I just had to blog 'em down.
After lunch Sunday we were driving home and she said, "Mom, since Jesus is in our heart can he see what we ate for lunch when it goes down our throat?" I really wanted to say, "Yeah, I bet he can"...just to move on with the day, but that wouldn't be honest so instead we got into a discussion about the Trinity and I say discussion because this kid is curious about it all. So then I began to talk about the wind and how we can't see it but we know its there because we see how it works, and you all know the rest of the story....
Then yesterday she wanted to know why the mailman drives on the wrong side of the road. Well this one I wasn't quite sure about, because if that seat was in the place where we drive they could still reach every mailbox just by driving on the opposite side of the road, so I had no explanation but she did..."One day one of the mailman's friends, who also works with mail said hey maybe we should take out the seat and put the mail in there instead."....well there you go.
She also informed me that her Mamaw and Papaw were sinners, I wondered why she thought that so I asked "why?"...Alli: "Because God told all of the Grandparents that they were supposed to live by their Grandchildren and Mamaw and Papaw moved far away and that is being disobedient to what the bible says." :0)
And the best one was her last funny comment of the day..."Mom why does Willie always wear a cowboy hat?" Me: "Maybe because he's a cowboy?" Alli: "No, hes not a cowboy, to be a cowboy or a cowgirl you have to be able to ride cows, and Willie doesn't know how to do that." I can't wait for everyone to read the comments my daughter had to say about them :)

Well, I am glad I am not the mailman, Mamaw, Papaw or poor Willie! Tell her to keep Aunt Angela comments to herself because I could be the next "funny comment" on your blog :)
Very funny! See, you are always saying that Ali doesn't say funny things. I knew that she couldn't be kin to you and not be funny! Yes, that was a compliment. :)
Hilarious! I love it! :)
Oh My Gosh! Can I just tell you how hard I laughed while I was reading this/after I read this. That child is so precious and I could just picture her saying these things with her little Brooklyn accent :) You've raised an intellegent, beautiful child! (oh yeah you too Ken)
She is so funny and smart, too! I love the mailman one. That took some thinking.
WOW I have never been more proud of my beautiful & brilliant niece. Alli I hope you are always so honest & I have no doubt that you will always be so funny!
