Payton, Mommy, Daddy, & Aunt Sonya

I am loving my job more and more. Getting to know the families more and warming up to eachother its all part of it. A lot of kids need a little time before they start acting like themselves in front of someone new, especially those with cameras in their hands. A lot of parents say things like, "you must have lots of patiance...". And if we were talking about my kids of course I would say, "I wish I did.", but these are your kids and I know by know how it all works, so I just wait, time, thats all they need. Payton here another cutie, but you all can see that.

Laura & Blair

I had candles lit, lights down low, a little Josh Groban playing, I thought I was creating a mood for their engagment session...but, there was more laughing than romancing taking place. It was a lot of fun working with this couple. I've known Laura for awhile and was just so excited when she asked me to do her wedding! Blair took a bit of simmering because we had only met briefly before at church, so I loved this opportunity to get comfortable with them as a couple before getting to capture their biggest day. I really enjoyed my time with them!

Landon's new look

Isn't it funny how a hair cut can change your look so much, even when it's not a lot of hair to begin with? After Laura and Blairs session I put Landon up on a bench to get some quick shots of him. I take the time to set up stuff with Alli because I know it will be worth it, she does exactly what I say and more, now Landon, I can't ever be sure if today is going to be the day he decides to smile at the camera or whine until I take him down. This time it was a little of both :) Ken and I were smiling so big looking at these last night, because just when I think he looks like me, I see Ken way more!

I have lots of new ideas that I want to incorporate into my business but finding the time needed to invest in studying up on them with two kids at home is a little problem. So I'm starting slow, letting you all know of little things here and there, and after finishing my research on exactly how I wanted to go about this one, I decided to finally sit down and get it all out.

I've been on the other side of this whole portrait deal...trying to figure out how I'm going to be able to afford all of the pictures I really wanted instead of just settling on one of my favorites.

There are all kinds of parties going on each week out there. You might even be one of the gals running one of them, skin care, make-up, clothing, you name it, it's being thrown, so why not something in my field?

If you are interested in hostessing a Portrait Party at your home or on location please email me for complete information on how we can get your party started and start earning you lots of free pictures!

It's so easy and after one party you may find yourself becoming a Portrait Party junky! All you need is 8-12 different families interested in just stopping by and having a free 15 minute session in a relaxed environment. With their visit each family will receive a free 5x7 photograph of their choice and an online viewing album of at least 12 shots from their session with no purchase necessary.

You as the hostess will be responsible for setting the date and start time, along with assigning time slots to each family. Aside from opening your home to your guests you will also be in charge of, making sure orders are in on time, handling payments, and delivering of photos. In return you will receive a private session before everyone arrives, a free 8x10 and depending on purchases made you have an opportunity to earn countless photos free of charge to you!

If your not crazy about hostessing but would love to join in on the fun and receive your free 5x7 for attending a party, feel free to email me as well and I will put you on a list to give to hostesses scheduling their parties.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the first one to call and book a Portrait Party with me will receive an 11x14 wall print as a bonus, can't wait to hear from you!!!!

Baby girl Josie...

At first I didn't notice it but sure enough with a couple weeks of waiting on this one she's starting to look like her older brother, very pretty baby! Wasn't crazy about the clothes coming off, but she dealt with it well.

AnnMarie

Was it freezing Friday or what? Well, if you happened to not step outdoors yesterday, you didn't miss much besides biting weather. It was soooo cold, but the sky was lit just right and sometimes you have to do what you have to do, and the results were quite beautiful so it was well worth it.

Kahlan & Connor

Miss Prissy - thats all I should have to say...this little toot rolled her eyes at me a few times, which I found sooo-funny of course, but to her she was dead serious. And Connor, this little man is just getting so good at this whole picture takin' stuff. Smiled, played, laughed, and just had fun!

Talk about an easy job here, everytime I turned around Matthew was posed and waiting to be noticed, it was great, and just an overall good kid.

Oh, sweet Garret, was a lover this one...so happy and those big green eyes! He's 8 months old and just a boy full of love, and his features were so perfect for black and white.

Busy day Wednesday...

This little girl was too funny, I found myself laughing outloud as I was reviewing the photos, she's a bit of poser, sooo sassy, and her brother Christopher, so handsome, these kids were great!
