Not one, not two, not three anymore, but 4!

My first baby is growing up so fast right before my eyes! Today is Alli's fourth birthday. I remember her birth moment by moment and so hope it remains that way. At 12:43 pm on March 6, 2003, Dr. Hart pronounced that I had a beautiful baby girl, weighing 8 lbs. 2ounce, and 19 1/2 inches long. Brown hair and dark blue eyes. "She's so pretty." Those were my first words after she took her first breath. I reached out for her as soon as they laid her on my belly. I was so happy! And Ken, you would think he was happier than I was, we were both on cloud 9. I wiped a tear from my eye and looked to my left as my husband, the father of my only child ran out of the room. There I was, not knowing what to feel. He was so ecstatic! He couldn't wait to tell everyone, and there I was all emotional and in need of a peperoni pizza and a lot of Dr. Pepper. Thinking back to a couple days after her birth...I just can't believe they let us leave with her, we had no clue!

I'm just sitting here staring at the screen smiling, thinking about all of the memories...I didn't know that such a little body could hold so much inside, and that you shouldn't let babies stay naked for more than a couple seconds in between diaper changes. I loved showing her off. She was all mine and I was so proud!

Well, today at 4 she is,
independent, out spoken, creative, funny, stubborn, entertaining, polite, crazy, athletic, loving, demanding, happy, and beautiful, to name a few.

Awww, I remember coming to see Alli within about 6 hours of her being born. It has been so neat to watch her grow and turn into quite a neat young lady. Happy Birthday Alli! We love you!

That made my eyes water! I remember waiting outside for this sweet baby girl. It's hard to imagine it was 4 years ago already!
