Terrie Perez, a photographer and good friend of mine invited me to tag along and take pics at a wedding with her last week. This was good experience for me, watching how she dealt with the clients and getting used to using an on camera flash.

I am really glad that I was able to go with her, this will make for no jitters in June for my next wedding...hopefully no jitters :)

Here's Terrie's girls, are they too cute or what? So sweet and respectful.

A little bit of everything...

Well we have been quite busy here at the Jenkins'. No, unlike popular belief I don't have pics of everything we do, but I do however have a lot of pics. Too many to blog so, grab yourself a warm cup of coffee or tall glass of ice tea, put some KLOVE on, turn off the phone, sit down and enjoy. Just as a little warning, those of you with dial up this is not the slide show for you...it contains almost 400 pictures, I'm sure you understand :)

A little bit of everything

Something New...

Wow! 11 comments, I do believe that's a record. Well, I won't mention my friends name, you can probably figure it out by the comments, but I will do another one with a solid background at a later time. I wasn't too crazy about this idea either, that is for the outdoor pics, who knows maybe someone will say, "Hey, where did that example go, I was crazy about it, I'll take 10 copies please"....or maybe not :0)

The Merrill Family

Alli's Party!

SORRY ABOUT THE PICS GOING AWAY SOMEWHERE IN BLOGGERLAND, I'M NOT SURE WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THIS BLOG, BUT NOT TO WORRY ANNMARIE, YOU CAN SEE YOUR HARD WORK UNDER THE SLIDESHOW I POSTED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON :)

Well it finally happened...Alli had her party and isn't it such a relief once its's all over with? I had to change the date because of a wedding and I was afraid I didn't give people enough notice, not only that but I had a lot to get started in less than a weeks time. So I'm cleaning at about 9:00 pm Friday night in anticipation for the party at 11:00 am the next day...AnnMarie stops by to pick something up and there I am stressed out and tired trying to figure out just how I'm going to get it all done. You guys, the girl cleaned Landon's room, baked cupcakes, and then sat down and started sewing. Boy was I so so so greatful! THANK YOU ANNMARIE!!

I feel for those of you that don't have family close by that can help you with these party things, because when I woke up Saturday morning, I took it so slow, just made sure everything was in it's place and I didn't stress or worry about anything, it was perfect!

This is the girl on birthday party morning, all excited, asking every thirty minutes if people were on their way.

They made their own pizzas each with their own style, some with just a few drops of sauce, some with pepporoni piled high, some with a circle of pepporionis and some that didn't even want to make their pizzas :0)

They then decorated their cupcakes however they wanted. The party really did flow very smoothly and quick, it was maybe one and a half hours long, it was great! Some factors that made it the success that it was, was the amount of kids invited, any more than this would have gotten a bit crazy, umm... what else, oh, the fact that family wasn't there, I will say it was very sad not having our family there to celebrate, its one of the things that I love, my entire family got together for everyones birthdays from kids to adults at my grandmas house and I loved it. But its so hectic having so many people there, and not everyone gets to spend time with the birthday kid as they would like, so this was perfect!

Thank you for celebrating with us and also, thank you for all of the help any way it came, sewing, picture taking, kid coraling, and cleaning especially <--you gotta love that! :0)

BAM!

Alli is having a little chef party this year, nothing big and grand, just a couple of her friends over to make lunch and dessert, heres her invite and a couple of the other pics I had to choose from, she was so excited about getting to really crack an egg.

Not one, not two, not three anymore, but 4!

My first baby is growing up so fast right before my eyes! Today is Alli's fourth birthday. I remember her birth moment by moment and so hope it remains that way. At 12:43 pm on March 6, 2003, Dr. Hart pronounced that I had a beautiful baby girl, weighing 8 lbs. 2ounce, and 19 1/2 inches long. Brown hair and dark blue eyes. "She's so pretty." Those were my first words after she took her first breath. I reached out for her as soon as they laid her on my belly. I was so happy! And Ken, you would think he was happier than I was, we were both on cloud 9. I wiped a tear from my eye and looked to my left as my husband, the father of my only child ran out of the room. There I was, not knowing what to feel. He was so ecstatic! He couldn't wait to tell everyone, and there I was all emotional and in need of a peperoni pizza and a lot of Dr. Pepper. Thinking back to a couple days after her birth...I just can't believe they let us leave with her, we had no clue!

I'm just sitting here staring at the screen smiling, thinking about all of the memories...I didn't know that such a little body could hold so much inside, and that you shouldn't let babies stay naked for more than a couple seconds in between diaper changes. I loved showing her off. She was all mine and I was so proud!

Well, today at 4 she is,
independent, out spoken, creative, funny, stubborn, entertaining, polite, crazy, athletic, loving, demanding, happy, and beautiful, to name a few.

Livy-cakes

I had my Livy girl over yesterday afternoon, so of course I pulled out the ol' camera. These are the cute shots I got in just a couple minutes. "Cheeeezzzzee" with her squinted eyes, well, what can I say, she makes me smile.

Payton, Mommy, Daddy, & Aunt Sonya

I am loving my job more and more. Getting to know the families more and warming up to eachother its all part of it. A lot of kids need a little time before they start acting like themselves in front of someone new, especially those with cameras in their hands. A lot of parents say things like, "you must have lots of patiance...". And if we were talking about my kids of course I would say, "I wish I did.", but these are your kids and I know by know how it all works, so I just wait, time, thats all they need. Payton here another cutie, but you all can see that.
