Chasing the Snow

We got a late start with our day today so the kids showers came at about noon, and so did the snow, so it was a race to get out of the water, get dressed and then get outside back into the "snow"! The kids were so excited!

As I was watching my little girl lovin' the outdoors, it occurred to me that I wasn't going to receive the "mother of the year" award by having my kids outside in the snow with wet hair, so we ran inside and blow dried her hair as quickly as possible and when we made it back outside the snow had stopped, hence the look below...which quickly turned into a smirky smile when I told her that we would jump in the car and CHASE THE SNOW!

I had no clue where the snow was headed but I drove towards Minden, it seemed smart enough at the time. Then the "ding, ding" came from the dashboard letting me know that the gas was low and in the scurry hurry that we left I left my purse and all forms of payment at home, no biggie because the snow started up again not but 15 minutes down the road so we pulled over, but by that time Landon had fallen asleep. Alli loved it!

She is wondering why (below) the snow isn't just piling up in her hands like it did in Colorado :)

Lovin' a good break!

With less work means more time with my kiddos as well as more photo time with the two as well! The shoemakers kids don't have any shoes and the photographers kids don't have any pictures. Well, I'm not that bad, but I love wanting to take the time to get some good photos of them. Sometimes when you are behind a camera all of the time you just don't want to be once you get home. Anyway, the sun was shining today through the front door so I had the kids run in there so that I could get their pretty smiles on my blog. They may just look like each other huh?

A little bit of Sunshine...

Rosier Fallin Wedding - Jan. 5, 2008

I'm so happy I got this shot...I have been wanting to do this at a wedding and we just never got the chance to do it. This is the couple before the wedding, having not seen each other yet but getting to touch...{exhale}...love it! Quite sweet!

I had to put one of my baby girl in here...her poses are so dramatic

I thought this one was pretty sweet as well, William waiting patiently to escort his soon to be wife up the isle as daddy holds on tightly to his little princess

Nothing like dancin' for a little spendin' money

They had so much snow all over them, by the time they got to hotel I'm sure it was comparable to being at the beach all day

I will post the link to all of the wedding photos here on the blog as well as my website when I am all through with them, say...Wednesday or Thursday this week! Check back!

Lily Sue

Here she is for those of you haven't seen her yet. Cutie huh? Hopefully you will see more photos this coming up week or so when she has her official first photo session, can't wait!

My Guys

I love this picture above, look at my boys follow through...yeah, that ball was coming straight for the camera and hit me, but the photo was worth it.

Landon, acting like he's just been hit by a linebacker.

I love watching Ken play with the kids, what they get from dad is so different from what comes from the Mama, and God knew that when he designed them, gotta love it!

Landon's Football Party

Lots of fun at my big boys party, and football it was! My quite talented mother in law made him that fantastic cake, couldn't have ordered it any better, and no ladies...she will not be doing this on the side ;) He couldn't wait to eat his football cake! Lots of cool gifts that he is excited about playing with and his Pop and Nana got him a Big Wheel which when he saw it he screamed. "MY BIKE!" Another year behind the camera, maybe next year daddy can take the pics and I can be seen in my kids baby books :)

Lacy's Bridal Session

We had a lot of fun with this a couple of months ago when we got to do Lacy's bridals out at a friends house. This girl got down and dirty! That dress had all kinds of stuff on it by the time we were through, and this was before the wedding!! I couldn't believe she was all for it, sitting by the pond fishing, all up on a John Deere tractor, up and close with a horse and more. The pictures turned out beautiful and these are only a few of my favorites!

My Baby is getting Old...

Landon turned two years old last Sunday the 6th...I'm just now posting about it :(

He is so precious to me and makes me laugh everyday with something new. He also may stress me out everyday as well :) He has such an imagination and is able to pretend and make things up. This morning he stacked cups on top of each other and told me he made a birdhouse. He will play that there are monsters everywhere and turn his head from side to side quickly saying, "where? where?" He lines up the stuffed animals and shoots them with his toy gun "pow pow!" Yeah, that was a gift from daddy, but I still think its cute. He talks about everything and there are only a few times that we don't know what he is saying. If you spank him or tell him no he will say, "I'm mad at you!" If I put him in time out in his room, he comes out saying, "Don't lock me in there." He sings songs all of the time and instead of saying Baby Jesus he says Mommy Jesus, I haven't quite figured that one out yet. He wakes up in the morning asking me for "Locklett milk" <--we are still working on that one, if the kid can say Choo Choo you would think he could say Chocolate, but no :) He wakes me up in the morning by tapping on my shoulder with just one finger and whispers, "Mommy wake up". He just mastered doing a flip and tries to copy everything Alli does, which poor Alli isn't fond of. Well, I could go on and on, I'm just crazy about this kid, and I'm trying to savor my moments with him before he leaves for college :)

Holiday Updates

Well, it's just about over with...all of the holidays in the pre-designed calenders at least....we here in the Jenkins II household still have a bunch of days to celebrate of our own and they all start with the new year, yea for us! Lacy's wedding this Saturday, Landon's birthday is Sunday, then Alli's, then Easter, then Colby's birth, then Anderson's birth...and so on and so on. Anderson? Who's that? :)

Anyway, we had a great Christmas and New Years here with our family. Our precious little Lily was able to come home on Christmas Eve and Papaw made it back from the hospital as well, so all is well with our family for now. :)

There are some Christmas photos to view below, the cookie ones you have already seen are in there too, just pass 'em if you want. I hope everyone has enjoyed their family time as well this season and all are doing their best to stay warm...I love the cold weather!!!
